Where it is

Limarí is in the Coquimbo region, around Ovalle, about 400 km north of Santiago. Vines are planted from the coast to the Andes foothills.

Land and climate

Very dry, with the cooling influence of the Pacific fog. Calcareous soils, and the vineyard sites near the coast are cooler.

Grapes and wines

Chardonnay is the most noted wine, with mineral character. Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are also made.
